I did not want to get my implants out! Sure I had pain in my neck, arm and shoulder. I was nauseated almost every evening. I was also easily fatigued. BUT IT CAN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE IMPLANTS... I told myself. The idea of going back to an A cup, dealing with friends and relatives, another surgery, the money and other unknowns seemed too much for me to deal with. Thankfully, I had a friend, who had gone through it and came out strong, that helped me with these doubts and fears.

Almost immediately after the surgery my nausea subsided. The pain is still there but doesn't seem to be getting worse. My mind is at ease not worrying about those toxic chemicals inside my body. My new breasts are small and wonderful...the way they were always meant to be. I feel empowered by saying "NO" to societies standards about beauty and breast size.

Below are those doctors who, as far as I have been able to uncover, can be counted on to remove the implants "en bloc" and to do a total capsulectomy, if at all possible. Of course, the woman needs to check them out herself.

"En bloc" means the capsule and implant are removed as one unit so, hopefully, the capsule holds in any silicone-gel from a rupture or contaiminated saline in preventing a spill into your tissue.

I ONLY NEED TO HEAR ABOUT THOSE YOU KNOW MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO REMOVE THE IMPLANTS "EN BLOC" OR "EN MASSE," A TOTAL CAPSULECTOMY AND ANY RESIDUAL SILICONE THEY CAN FIND!! Many Plastic Surgeons will not take the time and patience to do a good job of explant as we feel it should be done.

At times, "en bloc" is not possible such as for the older implants that had dacron fixation patches that might have adhered to the chest wall.
